Description

Cup of Nations the biggest Mindbug Tournament every year, where every countries battle to get the Nation Champion title!

Teams are built from the 5 best players of each countries that participate in national championships. A team is composed of 3 main players and 2 substitutes. For countries not having enough players to run a national championship, it is possible for spontaneous registration to create a team on their own to reprensent their country (substitutes are not mandatory in that case)

Planning

Group Phase

From November 19th to early december

All matches of the groups will be available from that point. Each team's captain will have to provide their linups (which players on which deck). Once done on each side, the line of opposing team will be provided to the other team's captain. Each player will have to contact their opponent based on their selected card set, then find an appropriate timeslot to play their match in BO3.

Playoffs

2 best countries of each group from group phase will access to playoffs.

Direct elimination Bracket. Same format than group phase except matches are BO5 and BO7 for final.

Format

3 players from each team will choose one of the 3 decks listed below. Then they will face the opponent team according to both lineups.

Ex: Team A: Player 1 choose deck 1, Player 2 choose deck 2 and player 3 choose deck 3. Team B: Player 1 choose deck 3, player 2 choose deck 2 and player 3 choose deck 1.

Then matches are done this way:

• Player 1 (A) faces player 3 (B) in a BOX match
• Player 2 (A) faces player 2 (B) in a BOX match
• Player 3 (A) faces player 1 (B) in a BOX match

Then, the team winning the most match (so at least 2 of them) is declared the winner of the whole match.
